Devices vulnerable to physical stress
In fast-paced flight line environments, the client’s laptops were exposed to frequent tool impact, gloved-hand use and contact with hard surfaces. To withstand this high-impact use, they required reinforced top and bottom protection covers and thick palm rests to reduce wear and improve handling during maintenance. Rubber footings also wore down quickly from constant dragging across concrete, increasing the risk of downtime and disrupting critical military aviation operations.
THE TAILORED SOLUTION
Custom hardware reinforced for harsh field conditions
The client chose Getac due to its responsiveness and flexibility in customization. To cater to the client’s needs, the team modified the B360 by adding a protective casing over the top protection cover and a thick palm rest to shield the device from fall damage. An additional casing was added to the bottom cover to protect the rubber feet from wear caused by frequent dragging on hard surfaces.
