Getac Profile: Lisa Zavitsanos, Federal Sales

Lisa is a member of our Getac Federal Sales team. She has been a member of the Getac team for more than seven years.

When she’s not helping members from the Navy/USMC community to get the most out of using Getac, Lisa can be found hanging out with her family at the beach, swimming in their pool, and spending time with her husband in Napa.

How did you get started in sales?

I was coaching an all-star water polo team when one of the parents approached me about coming to work for him in IT Sales. The rest is history.

How did you first hear about Getac?

My sales career has always been in support of the Navy/USMC for C4ISR; that couldn’t happen without reselling a lot of Getac. Two of my good friends in the industry told me Getac was looking for a Navy/USMC Account Manager on the Federal team. I jumped at the opportunity and I am lucky enough to still work with them both.

What do you enjoy most about your role at Getac?

I can engage on a daily basis with amazing sailors and Marines, who put their lives on the line for us, and it’s an honor to support them.

What do you like most about working at Getac?

Getac is a big family; I have made friendships that will last a lifetime. If I ever need anything, I know I can lean on my Getac family for help.

What are you most proud of at Getac?

Getac will always go above and beyond for their customers. Supporting the warfighter and their mission is our top priority!

What advice do you have for others looking to start a career in sales?

If you have the skill of building relationships and connecting with customers, then find an industry, a company, and a product line you can be passionate about – then the rest will be your history.

Are you a morning person or an afternoon person?

Before children I was a morning person. I would get up at 5am every day and workout. Now, as a busy mom I need as much sleep as possible, so I would say I’m just “a person”.
