Getac, global designer and manufacturer of rugged technology, is proud to announce a new partnership with award-winning Mobile Device Management (MDM) software company, SOTI Inc. The new alliance will provide Getac customers with the ideal MDM solution for the Z710 rugged Android tablet, putting them in full control of their portable computing equipment.

With more than 10,000 enterprise deployments and millions of devices managed globally, SOTI’s MobiControl is the world’s most trusted MDM and Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) management solution and offers a wealth of features, including web filtering, real-time antivirus and malware protection, telecom expense management and secure content library, and support for devices running on Windows, Android and iOS.  The Remote Control and File Sync functionality will particularly benefit users in the utility, transport and logistics, emergency services and military sectors, allowing them to update devices and receive support remotely in the field.

Peter Molyneux, President, Getac, UK said: “SOTI Android+ accreditation for our Z710 Android 4.1 device advances our position as a leader in fully rugged Android tablet solutions. The ability to customise the home screen to limit application selection and effectively lock down the unit, coupled with remote tools for help-desk troubleshooting, make the Getac Z710 a powerful solution for large-scale mobility projects.

“We are looking forward to developing our strategic relationship with SOTI to provide leading-edge Android solutions to the market to support and enhance our customers’ business performance.”

Nassar Hussain, European Sales Director, SOTI added:  “We are proud of the SOTI-Getac partnership. The Getac Z710 already offers unique benefits to organisations requiring a small, light, cost-effective Android tablet in challenging field environments. Taking this proven reliability and partnering with the benefits of the Android+ platform from SOTI ensures the device is kept where it belongs – in the field, servicing customers.”
