Challenge

The Paderborn Fire Department needed a reliable mobile device that would work both in stand-alone mode and when stationary in their emergency vehicles. It was important that the tablet could withstand vibrations while driving and could be used flexibly between different vehicles and emergency teams. In addition, it had to be able to support Windows-based emergency management software to enable smooth emergency documentation and situation overview.

Solution

With the support of Getac Platinum Partner Mettenmeier GmbH and after extensive testing, the Paderborn Fire Department opted for the rugged Getac F110 tablet. This device not only offers the necessary stability and performance for mobile use, but also supports the central applications as required. The tablets are installed in special Havis vehicle dockings and, thanks to their robust construction and reliability, enable smooth communication and documentation during operations – regardless of harsh outdoor conditions or vibrations while driving.
